Chir'daki is a Bounty Hunter, about whom very little is known. He is currently employed as a Lieutenant in the criminal organisation Black Sun, and is known to be connected with the reformation of the Bounty Hunters' Guild. His name is a Twi'lek word that translates into Basic as Death Seed - the name of a virulent parasitic disease. When hunting, Chir'daki wears the armour of an ori'ramikade - a Mandalorian Supercommando.

A ruthless bounty hunter, the man known as Chir'daki is extremely secretive about his past; his origins are surrounded with mystery and rumour, though the prevailing theories tie him with Mandalore and Ryloth in some way. Keeping with that theme, his ship is named Blue Shadow, after another deadly plague.

The individual known as Chir'daki is a man of mystery. He keeps his history - even his real identity - a closely guarded secret, hiding behind the character that he has spun for himself over the course of his employment. Though a Bounty Hunter by profession, he is well known for his difficulty in understanding the concept of "dead or alive": his targets rarely make it out of an encounter with him in one piece.
+

What little is known about him is derrived mostly from rumour, but a few assumptions can be made. Based on his actions and combat prowess, it is widely assumed that Chir'daki has some sort of military background. Rumour also has it that he was raised on Ryloth: a possible explanation for his choice of alias, and his fluency in the Twi'lek language.
+
Details about Chir'daki's past are sketchy, and he keeps the truth a closely guarded secret, cultivating the many myths and rumours that surround him to add to his air of menace. A few of those so-called facts are known to be true, however.

Most of Chir'daki's bounty profits are reinvested into equipment and supplies for his work; as such he has no permenant home. He prefers to work alone, rarely assisted by anything aside from a collection of assorted droids he has amassed over the years.
+
Chir'daki was born on the same day that Darth Maul died: the same day that hundreds of Gungans and humans on Naboo were killed by the Trade Federation. Though no one was aware of it at the time, while only a few hours old Chir'daki felt those deaths through the Force, and it left a mark on him. Years later, while in the service of the Galactic Empire, his duties exposed him to death on a large scale: he snapped, slipped into a Force-fuelled rage, and killed dozens of his fellow Imperials. To escape punishment, he fled, and changed his name.

Secret Past
+
Eventually he found his way to Ryloth, where he was briefly trained by a man calling himself Master Deathseed. Deathseed was a former Jedi, who planned to turn himself into a symbol to help undermine the Galactic Empire. He saw the potential in Chir'daki, and hoped to style the young man into his successor, but was killed before he had the opportunity to do so. He still managed to make a mark on him however, and so Chir'daki took his current name - the Twi'leki name for the Death Seed plague - in his honour.

Contrary to rumour, Chir'daki's military experience is actually fairly limited: he - Romo Mantana - served for several years as a Ground Technician attatched to the Starfighter division of the Imperial Navy, and recieved little more than basic military training. He was known by his peers and superiors as a quiet, reserved, and completely unremarkable individual, and was passed over for promotion numerous times.
+
Chir'daki learned to fight from the Mandalorians on Onderon. He proved his worth to the leader of one of the tribes, and was trained as one of them for a time. Having grown up outside the isolation of the Savage Lands of Onderon however, he grew restless, and ultimately left to pursue a career as a mercenary; his ruthlessness and flair for killing quickly saw him evolve into a bounty hunter.

Years into his service, he began to experience wild mood swings that Medical Officers attribured to stress - they were in fact the first manifestations of his latant Force potential, feeding of his own negative emotions. Delegated to a backwater ground installations because of concerns over his mental wellbeing, he found himself on the wrong side of an abusive superior who felt it necessary to take out his own feelings of inadequacy on his subordinates. During one such incident, Mantana entered into one of his Force-fuelled rages and killed his superior officer. Seeing no option but to flee, he managed to steal a shuttle and escape the system.
+
Early in his career, Chir'daki worked with Atton Kira: Kira served as a middle man, passing off-the-books bounties to Chir'daki to help protect the anonymity of his clients. Chir'daki eventually attracted the attention of Black Sun however and, after the dissolution of the old Bounty Hunters' Guild, he was employed by them as an enforcer and assassin.

Mantana fled to Ryloth, and abandoned his ship in orbit, descending to the planet in an escape pod. He was found by a Twi'lek huntsman; Mantana feigned amnesia, and the huntsman agreed to care for him until he "recovered". With no name, Mantana became referred to by the Twi'lek as Chir'daki - the Twi'leki name for Death Seed, a deadly parasitic disease: the Twi'lek jokingly called Mantana a parasite, and because of exposure to the harsh sunlight on Ryloth, he claimed that Mantana often looked like he was suffering from skin necrosis - a symptom of Death Seed. In return for his care and hospitality, Chir'daki assisted the Twi'lek in his hunting, and learned most of his combat skills.
+
For years, Chir'daki had been recieving secret orders from a mysterious individual - mostly illegal bounties and assassinations. That individual was ultimately revealed to be Darth Callidus, and eventually the Dark Jedi approached Chir'daki to become his newest apprentice. The prospect of using the Force to make himself an even more potent killer was too tempting for Chir'daki to ignore, and so he accepted, becoming Darth Venator.

Eventually, he decided to leave his surrogate home, and return to the galaxy at large. Justifying his actions to himself as "bringing justice" to those who deserved it, he hired himself out first as a mercenary, and later as a bounty hunter. To hide his true identity he went to great lengths, self-inflicting the distinctive scar across his face to generate a distinctive feature that people were more likely to remember than his true appearence beneath, and surrounding himself with an cloak of mystery so that the only "facts" about him would be based on sketchy rumour, if not wild speculation.

Chir'daki first came to the attention of Black Sun early in his career, when he began working as a low-level thug on a contract-by-contract basis. Eventually, he impressed a few members enough to earn himself a permenant place on their payroll, and worked his way up through the hierarchy from there.
+
On the surface, Chir'daki appears to be cool, emotionally detatched, and ruthless. Killing has become such second nature to him that he seems to view it with complete indifference; that said, he does seem to take some enjoyment - or at least satisfaction - from the act of killing, and prefers to bring in bounties dead rather than alive if the bounty permits, even if that will reduce his payment. His attitude towards assassination is reflected in his choice of weapon: he tends to use blasters and rifles to injure and disable his target, before killing them by hand to make the experience more personal.

Having adopted a administrative role within the Black Sun organisation, Chir'daki's career as a Bounty Hunter entered a slump, although he continued to interact with that world, often feeding information to former Hunter contacts about noteworthy Black Sun bounties. Below the surface however, Chir'daki is a seething couldron of barely-contained rage and hate. When he uses the Force and taps into those emotions, he becomes vicious and animalistic. Victims of an enraged Chir'daki can often be literally torn apart. When fighting in this manner, Chir'daki ignores all of his detatchment, and will attack his prey with swords, knives, and even with his bare hands. To allow him to effectively combat opponents armed with lightsabers, he has taken to wearing clawed gauntlets laced with cortosis, allowing him to short out their blade and leave them completely exposed.

Recently, he was approached by his old acquaintance Darven, concerning the reformation of the Bounty Hunters' Guild. Chir'daki had originally hoped to represent Black Sun as their official ambassador to the new guild, but after negotiations with Grym Kandle, he accepted a role that traded a little authority in exchange for a considerably reduced amount of administrative responsibility, allowing Chir'daki to return to his roots and serve as a Bounty Hunter once more.
