The Montegue Family encompasses several Post-Reset characters played by a number of Fans writers. As well as members of the Montegue family tree by blood and marriage, it also encompasses close friends of the family; also, because of the family's status within the Bounty Hunters' Guild, this page includes business associates who commonly have dealings with the family.

The Montegues

Hugo Montegue

The father and current head of the Montegue family, Hugo is a former Senate Commando turned Bounty Hunter from Coruscant, with a particular flair and enthusiasm for hunting exotics - people and creatures with unusual physical and metaphysical traits and abilities. He is particularly passionate in his dislike and distrust of those who are Force Sensitive, partly because of his role during the Jedi Purge, and partly because of the circumstances surrounding the loss of his wife.

Hugo was recently captured by the Empire, and held in a special reconditioning facility where R.S. Esalis attempted to break Hugo, and turn him into one of her agents. Specifically, she wanted to use him as a weapon against the Lupines, as she believed his particular area of expertise would make him uniquely qualified to combat them. He was released after two years; as yet, the full extent of his programming by Esalis is unknown.

Emaryn Montegue

The mother of Cambrio and Vittore and the wife of Hugo Montegue, Emaryn was born and raised on Cularin. She met Hugo early during his career as a Senate Commando, and after he was deployed to her planet to help impose martial law there during the early stages of the Clone Wars, he discovered that she was pregnant with his child - Vittore - and so made arrangements for her to leave Cularin with him, and for them to be married.

Thoughout their relationship, Emaryn had hidden the fact that she was a Force Sensitive; it later emerged that she had been slowly manipulated by a powerful Dark Jedi, who ultimately turned her against her family. After killing her sister, and attempting to ensure her youngest son Cambrio would become Force Sensitive by injecting him with her blood, she fled to the planet of L'Khost (Ord Ithil), where the Dark Jedi tht had been manipulating her resided. Discovering the nefarious schemes she had in store for her children, she killed him, but in the process completed her transition to the Dark Side and took up his mantle as Dark Lord of L'Khost.

Other Family

Cambria Kansas

The elder sister of Emaryn Montegue, Cambria remained on Cularin during the Clone Wars, even after the planet ceded from the Galactic Republic. Fortunately, the war ended before Vittore was much more than a year old, and she threw herself enthusiastically into the role of Aunt; when Hugo and Emaryn's second son was born, they named him - Cambrio - after her. Because of the similarity of their names, Auntie Cambria became known to the young Vittore as "Anti-Cambrio" while he was still learning to speak.

Like her sister, Cambria was Force Sensitive. However, she managed to escape the manipulations of the Dark Side. After Emaryn's sensitivity was revealed, Hugo fled to Cularin with the children, intending to place them under her care while he searched for Emaryn. The search ultimately proved unnecessary, when Emaryn arrived to reclaim her children. Knowing that Hugo was no match for Emaryn's Force abilities, Cambria sent him away with the children, saccrificing herself to buy them time to escape.

Elroy Kripke

Though not a relative by blood or marriage, Elroy was a former collegue of Hugo's who, during the early years of his career as a Bounty Hunter, became a surrogate uncle to Cambrio and Vittore. Elroy inherited his father's import/export company; over time it involved into a military surplus business, which frequently supported Hugo - and other Bounty Hunters - in their work. Though supportive of Hugo's noble ambitions to rid the galaxy of dangerous supernatural creatures, he harboured concerns about the extent of Hugo's obsession with his quest, and the two frequently disagreed on the extraordinary lengths to which he seemed willing to go.

Sleazy

A CZ-series Business Droid acquired by the Montegue family, Sleazy performs a number of roles ranging from visual and electronic surveillance to slicing and forgery, providing them with the information and documentation they need over the course of their work.

Associates

Amaros Koine

Also known as Amos Iakona (a name shared with his son), Amaros was a Mandalorian who worked for the Republic around the time of the Clone Wars, training their Clone Commandos. After his contract reached its end, he retired to Naboo, eventually serving as a volunteer in the Royal Security Forces. At some point he became caught up in one of Montegue's missions; a decade or so later he helped the family on its mission to Ord Ithil. He currently has ties with the Crimson Novas group within the Bounty Hunters' Guild.

Inyos Aamoran

A Jedi from before the Purge, Inyos Aamoran went into hiding following the Clone Wars. However, along with fellow Jedi and friend Mandan Hidatsa, he journeyed to Ord Ithil some years later, and inadvertanty fell into the trap set up by the corrupted Emaryn Montegue. After Mandan was killed, he confronted her directly: while successful in defeating her, she managed to posess his body with her Force Ghost, using him as a vessel for over a decade. He was eventually freed by the Montegues, and remained with them for a short time before reuniting with the Jedi Order in-exile.
