The Red Moon is a C-ROC Gozanti-class Cruiser, manufactured by the Corellian Engineering Corporation in the years following the rise of the New Order. The ship has been extensively modified beyond it's original specifications; among other things it has been heavily automated, allowing it to be operated by a single pilot and an onboard AI.

She is currently owned by Captain Lux.

Modifications

The C-ROC series was based upon the same basic hull as the earlier Gozanti Cruiser, but with extensive structural modifications. The keel was lengthened significantly and the hull extended, sweeping forward and sideways from the original superstructure. The extensions added a lower deck devoted entirely to cargo, which drastically increased the vessel's transport capacity. To cope with the increase in mass and the extra cargo, three additional engines were added, and the power generation increased.

Further aftermarket modifications were made by the ship's various owners. Using the same principles that drastically reduced the crew requirements of Dreadnaught Heavy Cruisers, many of the ship's systems were automated, and an artificial intelligence installed. Though the ship still requires a small crew to be operated optimally, it can still function with only one pilot aboard.

The cargo deck has also been modified to double as a makeshift hangar. In addition to a forward cargo elevator and a rear cargo ramp, the bay contains a set of atmosphere-shielded ventral doors - similar to those on a Corellian Corvette - through which a small speeder or utility craft can be deployed without loss of atmosphere within the bay. This is primarily used for cargo transfers to and from the ship's external cargo platforms while still in space, and for deploying Captain Lux's personal IRD-A Starfighter.
