Biography

Naadia Demici the Third, apart from her apparent noble lineage, is an art historian. Her studies of the arts began on Coruscant, where she attended university after receiving the finest of education on Serenno, only to later extend to the Baobab Archives and the University of Byblos, where she attained an advanced degree in alien art. A passionate art collector like her father, the young woman spends her time immersed in her studies, salvaging art and artefacts or using the influence her title implies to dexterously maneuver between the apparent allegiance to the Empire and her secret aspirations towards the Alliance.

Family

Naadia Demici the Third was born to Alberto Demici, the Count of Serenno and Isthar, High Priestess of Tholoth. Shortly after Naadia's birth, Isthar - one of the Elders of Order of the Sacred Circle, returned to her planet Monastery to continue serving as a missionary. Shortly after her arrival, she was dispatched to her home planet of Tholoth to set up another convent which would serve as a outpost for pilgrims that travelled to the Galactic Core. As Isthar pursued her noble calling, she left her daughter in the hands of Alberto Demici who, although displeased with Isthar's selfish choice, took up the task of raising Naadia on his own. During the Clone Wars, Isthar's convent provided a safe haven for refugees, shielded from the war via Tholoth's persisting neutrality, despite its formal allegiance to the Republic.

It was after the fall of the Republic that Naadia's mother received a Jedi distress call asking for assistance; without any reluctance, she graciously offered a shelter for several Jedi Knights, only to suffer a fate worse then death when the newly established Empire discovered of their hiding spot. In a raid orchestrated by the Imperial Inquisitors, the convent was destroyed, the Jedi were slain and Isthar was taken to Coruscant and charged with grand treason against the Republic. Not even Alberto could influence the outcome of the trial; Isthar was found guilty under all charges and executed in 18 BBY. Crushed, Alberto returned to Serenno to the only remaining part of Isthar he had - his daughter Naadia. During his time of grief, his childhood friend, marquise Lenora Cardone provided him with moral support and took care of Naadia during his long business absences. Subsequently, the two grew closer and mutual affection resulted in marriage. Shortly after their union was formalized, Lenora gave birth to Renato Demici the Third. In two years time, the Demici family was enlarged one last time with the birth of Giovanni Demici, the youngest of the three Demici.

Despite their different background, all three Demici children shared a harmonious and happy childhood. Thus their attachment continued through to their adolescence and adult life later on, the trio often being able to confide in one another rather than telling their parents.

Connection with Count Dooku

Although Naadia is not a direct descendant of the infamous Sith Lord, she does share some blood relations with him. Alberto's mother, Alda Demici of Serenno was Dooku's younger sister who remained on the planet whilst her brother trained to become a Jedi. Dooku's immense Force sensitivity mirrors only in Renato Demici out of all Demici descendants, as the young Count also physically resembles his ancestor somewhat.

Personality and Traits

Naadia has a strong sense of honor and an innate feeling for justice, preassumeably inheriting it from her mother. She is also headstrong and persistent, especially if she does not succeed right away. Cunning, yet righteous, she has all the qualities a versatile politician should have, whilst obeying the noblesse oblige doctrine.
