Biography

Jane's story began at birth, but her real story doesn't begin until she is sixteen. When she was reborn. In possession of her driver's license, the sixteen year old took her best friend and her little sister out for a drive on August 23rd, 1997. She got going a little too fast, the road was slick from rain, and she crashed into a telephone pole going sixty miles an hour.

Hannah, her sister, was killed. Jessica, her best friend, was left with severe brain damage and in a wheelchair. Jane's body was incredibly injured, and paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Her family was devastated, and she was buried in a quiet ceremony two days later.

Two days after that, Jane woke up.

Terrified, she pounded at the lid of her coffin, adrenaline pumping into her system. The adrenaline gave her extra strength, and masked the pain in her fists and arms as she smashed at the lid, finally bursting out into the graveyard, bloodied and filthy. She ran home in her tattered clothes, coughing up embalming fluid.

To make a long story shorter, her family was horrified at her reappearance. Jane was examined by doctors, who discovered that she had the X gene. Her body could endure horrific injuries, entering a death-like hibernation state in which her body regenerated. Adrenaline caused her to be able to keep going while severely injured, and also gave her above normal strength.

Wracked by guilt, Jane ran away from the doctors and their tests, and her family and their pain. She ended up in Texas where she met a new family.

BARRANCA'S TRAVELING MUTANT PERFORMERS

Tears of the Dead is an RP that spans this period of Jane's life. A mousy teenager, she falls in with Caiman, a lizard-like mutant showman and his traveling troupe of mutant performers/fighters. I'll add more to this section once the RP is done.

Powers

Heightened adrenaline causes a numbing of physical pain and increased strength. Once she endures enough injuries her body enters a death-like hibernation state during which her body regenerates.

Over time she has learned to control the regeneration cycle, entering a mild version of it every night when she sleeps (this takes care of minor injuries like broken bones, etc).

Out of Character

Holly found her way to SW-Fans.Net on July 24, 2000, through the Crazy Ass Message Boards on Ezboard, where her brother Banestone, and Itala Marzullo were members. Convinced to join The Sith Council as a darkside character, she signed up as Lady DeVille. Incidentally the last name was a suggestion by the Emperor of TSC, Itala himself. She has always gone by the nickname LD. Lilaena was promoted to roleplaying moderator on October 14, 2002, and then to board administrator in late 2005. In November of 2009 she retired from the staff in part because of her expanding RL responsibilities. In 2015 she was promoted to be one of the board admins once more, and she is married with three children.
