Biography

Born in New York to an illegal Chinese immigrant forced into prostitution, Veronica grew up in the worst part of the Bronx in the late 80s. Desperately fearful of both her pimp and being deported to China, Veronica never obtained a birth certificate and there is no official record of her existence. When Veronica was 10, her mother was dying from an assortment of ailments. With no end in sight, she took her own life. When her pimp came to collect whatever little possessions were of value, Veronica killed him with a small revolver. She spent two years merely surviving on the streets, stealing from shops to keep fed and clothed. When her ability presented itself a year later, she fell into the role of a gunman (gunwoman?), and each hit she took was more valuable than the last. Saladin noticed her unusual track record through his connections in the criminal underworld and suspected her abilities were more than human, which was confirmed in their first meeting. Veronica has been on retainer for Saladin for the past 3 years.

Powers

Veronica has superhuman awareness for a hundred meters in every direction, and can narrow this ability to cover longer distances. There are rumors that she has superhuman strength and agility, but it is likely a product of rigorous physical activity and practice.
