History

Ando Prime, a snow covered yet hospitable planet in the Mid Rim. For a long time, the only inhabitants on the planet were the native Talid and an ancient order of Bendu Monks. The planet had a population surge, following the establishment of several mining communities. The demand for water and other utilities to be supplied for the towns and cities springing up was great and gave birth to many forms of work. It also saw a rise in the demand for entertainment, thus, podracing was established. It was at a pod-race that Izrahedra and Mearbronne Faith ran into each other. Literally.

Izrahedra was a mere spectator, carrying refreshments back to the seats occupied by she and a few friends. Mearbronne was a racer, rushing through the arena to get to his podracer before the start of the race. Focused on keeping the carrying tray steady, Izrahedra failed to see the contestant coming toward her from the side. Cursing under his breath about being late for the race - again - Mearbronne looked up toward the countdown display on the overhead holoboard and smack!. Drinks went flying, tumbling around and around, spilling the contents all over. Izrahedra yelped, then felt herself falling sideways and landing with an audible oomph seconds later. Mearbronne staggered forward, tried ungracefully to keep from tripping over the fallen woman and failed miserably. He landed on top of her. He apologized profusely and helped Izrahedra to her feet. "I'm terribly sorry, miss. Are you all right? You're not hurt, I hope," he said while clumsily trying to clean the sticky carbonated drink from her blouse, not even realizing that he'd been brushing his hands against the woman's breasts.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine. No, I'm not hurt. Hey! Watch those hands, mister!" Izrahedra responded, slapping his hands away from her chest and scowling at him in annoyance. Mearbronne blushed, the color burning bright and reaching the tips of his ears. He did his best to apologize but only tripped over his tongue and it came out sounding like an incomprehensible drunken slur. Without further ado, Mearbronne fled the scene, completely flabbergasted by what had happened.

Whether it was fate or chance, Izrahedra's and Mearbronne's paths continued to cross. Finally, she summoned up the nerve to ask him for a date. He said yes, but felt like a doofus for not seeing the flirtations before then. Of course, his mind was always on the pod and the race. How can he improve, get more speed, gain more control; leaving him oblivious to the rest of the world around him. It also left him oblivious to some abilities he'd inherited that related to the Force. Thus, Mearbronne was never trained in the arts or control of the Force and his skills remained un-nurtured.

Mearbronne and Izrahedra finally tied the knot four years later. He continued to race until his bride informed him that he was going to be a father. Though it pained him, Mearbronne gave up racing and went to work for a local construction company that specialized in laying pipe. Life was going well for the young couple.

Morgan was just six months old when Mearbronne was involved in a terrible accident that resulted in the deaths of three of his co-workers. New pipes had to be laid for what was once a ghost town that had sprung back to life. Due to new ordinances, the new pipes had to be laid deeper than before and as the crew set supports into place to prevent the walls from collapsing, they collapsed and buried a total of nine men a fifty feet below the surface. Mearbronne and five of his companions were lucky in the fact that the supports crossed each other as they fell, trapping an air pocket. The other three weren't so lucky. Many, many hours later, the survivors were rescued and as Inzahedra was visiting her husband in the hospital, they were paid a visit by an Investigator. She didn't go into much detail as to the reasons behind a deep-level investigation but only said that there was much more to the accident than meets the eye. It was during one of these visits that the Investigator detected the Force within the infant Morgan.

It took some coaxing, but she was able to convince Izrahedra and Mearbronne that Morgan would be better off with the Jedi and assured them that she would be very well cared for and protected. The couple talked about it for hours, realizing that the Investigator was probably right. Izrahedra would have her hands full taking care of her husband, now a paraplegic. It would be difficult to care for both he and their infant daughter. The separation was tearful and Izrahedra almost changed her mind, but Mearbronne stopped her. Together, they watched their baby girl fade away from their lives, but not from their hearts or their memories.

At the age of four, Morgan was placed within the Bear clan of the Jedi Younglings. Their lessons were mainly taught by Jedi Master Neera Aki. Each clan consisted of about twenty hopeful Jedi and could include any number of different species. Since the lessons being taught to the Younglings were relatively simple and basic, it was not uncommon for as many as ten different clans to be training together at the same time. When an individual student achieved satisfactory understanding of the Jedi way, they were usually taken under the wing of another Jedi member, usually a Knight, and instructed individually to complete their training. Masters typically brought their Padawans along on missions, and later sent them on missions on their own, for them to gain experience and learn from practice.

<Note: Rewrite this section to fit the timeline and the rest of the character's backstory - Throughout the first nine years of her training, her weaknesses outweighed her strengths. When Morgan's twelfth birthday had come and gone and she had not been chosen by a Knight to receive specific one-on-one traditional training, she began to worry that she never would be. It was discouraging to see her companions being accepted while she was left behind, yes, but she never showed it or shared that with anyone. She was truly happy for them; that they had found their calling and others had recognized the hard work and dedication required of the Jedi. Morgan figured that her destiny lay elsewhere within the Order and would follow the path that had been chosen for her wherever it took her.

Morgan's affinity to puzzle solving, problem solving, and astute observation techniques drew the attention of a Jedi Master Investigator[*] known as Rikta Vai, who accepted Morgan as his padawan, with the permission of the Jedi Council, when she was twelve-and-a-half. Under his tutelage, Morgan's training focused on the arts and skills utilized by the Investigators: Intelligence, crime-scene investigation, criminal justice, alchemy, biology of human and sentient species, diplomacy, and customs to name a few.

Because of the dangers involved in being an Investigator, Morgan's training included the fine art of wielding a lightsaber and certain aspects of the Force, which are used for defensive purposes only. Just enough to be able to escape a dire situation if no other means will suffice. By no means is she a skilled expert in the way the Jedi Knights and Masters are, but she could hold her own enough to escape if the need arose. Because of these limitations, Morgan will never attain a Master rank status within the Jedi Order, but that was never her goal. The philosophies, religion, and principals that the Order was founded on are what matter to her the most. - End rewrite>

Though the Order has been practically annihilated by the purge, there are some who managed to escape and now tread carefully throughout the galaxy carrying on their duties. Rikta was not amongst those who escaped, unfortunately. He did, however, assure the younglings safety from extinction by hiding Morgan, age 6 at the time of the purge, on Corellia under the loving care of a young, childless couple.

Though the couple thought it best to never reveal to Morgan of her true fate of being a Jedi, morals won out one evening ten years later. Her adoptive parents explained the circumstances that brought her into their lives. It was a lot to absorb, but somehow, Morgan felt it was somehow right.

So it was, with their blessing, that Morgan set off on a life long journey after graduating from from the University of Corellia. Now, four years later at the age 26, Morgan continues her journey across the stars with hopes of finding any of the Jedi brethren that may have survived one of the darkest moments in the Order's history.

Strengths
Just as it is a weakness, her naivety can - at times - also be a strength; particularly when finding herself in a precarious situation in which she can use the naivety to her advantage.
Weaknesses
Among Morgan's weaknesses is her naivety. Still considered to be young in human standards, her education within the Jedi was cut short when the Jedi were systematically exterminated to near extinction when she was just eight years of age. During that time, she was still being taught by several Masters responsible for the overall education and basic skills training for the youngling Clans. When she is able to find her way back to the Jedi once again, she will have to start anew.

Her curious nature could also be considered a weakness, especially when coupled with her naivety. If she isn't careful, this could put her in the path of danger.

Due to personal experiences with leading a "normal" life for the past twenty years, Morgan's learned distrust. This has culminated from bad experiences during her educational years and personal interactions with members of many species. It is difficult for her to forge new friendships because of her issues with trust.

Likes
McSquizzy, a white snuzzleguff companion. This little critter has been a good friend to the young Jedi padawan for the past few years.

Morgan likes to find the beauty in everything the surrounds her, including in those things that many view as "ugly" or displeasing to look at. Her personal philosophy is if the day comes when she can no longer find the beauty - even in the ugliest of things - then that is the day when she must leave the Jedi and enter self-exile.

The young woman enjoys reading, particularly about the religious beliefs, cuisine, traditions, and life styles of cultures of other societies. Aside from enjoying this, though, it is a necessary knowledge that will enable her to perform her task as an investigator should her assignments ever take her to far-off distant locales.

She also likes to enjoy her downtime doing things that she otherwise would not get the opportunity to do. She enjoys terrible "B" rated horror holovids and cheesy comedies. Though she is not a fan of romance flicks, she will watch them if humor is involved.

Jedi Investigator
Jedi investigators were specially appointed by the Jedi Council. Their primary objectives were to uncover hidden and obscure threats to the galaxy, such as powerful criminal syndicates, corruption and conspiracy against the Republic and other phantom menaces.

Jedi investigators were charged with rooting out the threats via their detective skills and reporting in to the Jedi Council, which would then decide what action to take. Jedi investigators usually operated in secrecy, the Council members being the only ones who knew about their missions.

A Jedi investigator would often work alone undercover, infiltrating the organization under suspicion, and would not hesitate to use guile, deception or even brute force in addition to detective skills to achieve his or her goal. Working from within, Jedi investigators were often successful in neutralizing the enemy before galactic conflict would arise.

Jedi investigators would also spy on known criminal syndicates, pirate groups, assassin organizations as well as individual criminals and report their findings to the Jedi Council, which kept detailed record of most known criminals in the galaxy.

Jedi investigators would also be assigned less dangerous missions, such as helping identifying Force sensitive children to be trained in the ways of the Force, or solve criminal cases normal police forces were incapable of deciphering. This was not their primary task, but often they would do it to train their observational skills.

Personality
Empathy, sympathy, compassion, and understanding are at the core of this young woman. A seeker of truth and justice.

Morgan is soft-spoken, not the type of person to raise her voice. She thinks things through carefully ahead of time before taking action; and before speaking. She's an observer, trained as such, therefore she isn't one for conversation much of the time. However, she will not turn down conversation when initiated. She's friendly and outgoing, curious and eager to continue learning.

Those who do get close to her find her smile and personality to be infectious, bubbly. When she's not working, Morgan likes to relax with a good book, curled up under a thick blanket; write short stories or update her journal. Although she does enjoy reading, it has to be a book by her favorite authors. Education wise, she is a hands-on learner and has great difficulty from book learning. She also enjoys nature and photography. Definitely not the uptight kind, Morgan likes to have fun and will resort to silliness when appropriate.

Force Skills
The following skills in the Force will become required as part of Morgan's training as a member of the Investigators. The list may be added to, depending on what her new Master deems necessary for the occupation for which Morgan is suited best to perform within the Jedi. As each skill is mastered, the title will appear in bold font. (Those appearing in bold now are skill she learned prior to the Purge as a youngling).

Affect Mind - This is the classical 'Mind Trick', whereby the Force Sensitive uses telepathy to plant a particular suggestion in someone else's mind, thus causing them to see something that isn't there, or to not see something that is there, as well as planting suggestions in their mind which they may then act upon. The success of this skill depends entirely upon the force of will of the Force Sensitive, and on that of the target - a strong Force Sensitive will be more likely to succeed against strong-minded targets than a weaker one.

Illusion - An illusion is a mind trick that can be spread out with a blanket effect, encapsulating any within a particular radius into seeing that which is telepathically projected by the caster, as though it were in fact a real image.

Hibernation Trance - This trance allows the Force Sensitive to place his or her self into a state reminiscent of deep sleep, but that slows bodily functions down to an absolute minimum, usually in order to combine that with Accelerate Healing, to repair injuries that would normally require medical attention when none is readily available. The user must set a condition for awakening from their trance, usually by the result of an external stimuli or the passage of time.

Force of Will - This skill is simply the use of the Force to bolster the mind against mental attacks, such as mind tricks or illusions that might be used against them by a hostile Force user.

Jump - This is a specialized form, combining Enhance Attribute and Telekinesis in order to propel a Jedi higher and faster than they otherwise would be able to reach through jumping. It can also enable them to land safely when jumping from high heights that would otherwise be dangerous to them.

Force Push - This simple extension of telekinetic power allows a Force Sensitive to push objects or individuals away from them with the use of the Force.

Sense Surroundings - This skill is used by Force Sensitives to ascertain the nature of their immediate surroundings - hence giving them the ability to sense things despite obstruction or sensory blankness (such as being in a completely dark room).

Telekinesis - The basis for the majority of manifested Jedi abilities, telekinesis is the ability to move objects around with the power of the mind, using the Force. Extensions of this can include levitation, enhancing one's jumps, and controlling the flight of objects through the air.
