Design

The Salvation is the prototype for a second generation of Sorosuub Dauntless Cruiser. Having the Projectile launchers and ammo bays removed and replaced with more power generators and hanger space. Point Defense weapons have also been added to aid in anti-fighter/projectile defense. Better armor and shielding have been installed as well as a new sensor and communications suite.

History

Salvation began its life as all Dauntless Cruisers did, as a liner and transport for Sorosuub. After being refit and armed they joined the ranks of the alliance and gave the rebel fleet a heavy warship capable of standing toe to toe against the new Imperial Mk II Star Destroyers. After the Battle with Imperial forces lead by Moff Greth the damaged Salvation was docked and refitted. She now serves as Command ship of the 122nd Tactical Group under the command of Captain Aaron Nomarr
