I don't have a problem with your weapons, Ak.

As a side note to the discussion though, cortosis is a brittle mineral that causes lightsabers to shut off. It has been used on these boards in the past woven into cloaks to make them 'lightsaber proof' - but this would be extremely costly as cortosis is rare and pricey. iirc.

I'm pretty sure Sanis has one or two cortosis shells, but if a bullet costs you a month's pay, you'd be reluctant to use that shit too.

    What is that, exactly?

And as an aside, I was pretty sure you said "Pink Alloy" when I first read it.

I'm a doctor, not a Jedi, Jim! What you're asking for is impossible! Oh, wait, I am a Jedi.

On the wiki page for Sith weapons there are also two links to Phrik Alloy and Cortosis as well for all your lightsaber resisting needs.

Hmm... I'd be fine with Phrik being used in the creation of these.

I say stick with your original idea. Several former mods have given it the okie dokie. No need to change it.

I think that just proves my point... they were ultra-no-remembery-drugs! Which should also keep you from remembering that you nearly choked me to death just before you succumbed. So hah!

    ...

    Crap.

Sounds good. Would explain why they're black, too. Black being the color of EEEVVVILLL and all...

So I was scootin around on wookiepedia after reading a few articles of the new Clone wars animated show and I can across the article on the new weapon the Death watch leader uses.

The "Dark saber." In that article theres a bit in the 'behind the scenes info' that says:

Originally intended to be a vibroblade, George Lucas dictated that a lightsaber could not be blocked by a non-lightsaber, despite several canonical materials capable of doing just that. With that in mind, the show's crew conceived of an ancient precursor to the lightsaber which they named the Darksaber. Notably, this is also the first canonically black-bladed lightsaber.
I thought that was interesting. George basically saying nay to Cortosis, Phrik, Sith weapons, etc.

Not that I'm saying this should have any bearing on our universe or even this thread. I actually say we do the opposite and ignore the above. I just thought it was interesting to finally learn what George had to say about this topic and this thread seemed like the most prudent place to post it.

The dude's an idiot and is going 180 on EU shit he supposedly rubber-stamped years ago and is p. much just trying to retcon to drum up sales now.

I'm pretty sure we're all fully vested in the universe to the point that we can pick and choose from his bullshit (ie, fuck shit like the vong)
