Though theres not a whole lot out about the film yet, I'm actually really looking forward to it. I'm a huge fanof all three of the Evil Dead movies, especially Army of Darkness which is by far my favorite. Though it looks like Bruce Campbell will not be playing Ash in the upcoming remake of the Evil Dead. He'll only be a producer along with Raimi.

An Evil Dead remake? Isn't that what Evil Dead 2 was?
I don't get it. With all the success Raimi's had lately, why would he do this? I'm sick and tired of all these friggin' remakes.
Army of Darkness...That was the most hilarious movie I have ever seen.

I heard they were doing ED4 at the same time, so it's good.
they just changed the recap at the begining leaving out everyone but Linda at the cabin for the 1st night because 1, they couldn't get the rights back to the footage from Evil Dead and 2 Cheryl, Scotty, & Shelly are not important for the 2nd night.Originally posted by Shawn

The recap ends about 6 or 7 min. into the film with the same shot that ends Evil Dead. It's morning, Ash has survived the night, he's outside the cabin and then the Evil rushes through the cabin and at Ash. The End.
Begin sequel - we see Ash get thrown through the woods and slammed into the tree, bring on day 2 and night 2 with new characters, Jake, Ed, Annie and Bobby Jo.
(Bobby JO! Where are ya girl???)
They do the same thing again with the recap in Army, leaving out everyone but Ash.
As far as the current remake in the works... if it helps get Evil Dead 4 made I'll live with it.
