Notes: A new class of Star Destroyer that is smaller, cheaper, and easier to mass manufacture for the First Order, a shadow of what the Galactic Empire once was. These ships have average armament for their size but have concentrated firepower, improved speed, and more of a focus on hangar capacity than their predecessors. The most noticeable difference is the lack of an open hangar bay that leads directly to where the reactor is; to fix this vulnerability, the Oppressor class has a through deck hangar bay in the upper superstructure that still allows a mass deployment, but with narrow vulnerable openings that are more easily concealed with blast doors during heavy combat.
Teensy thought on this. Based on what we were saying the other day about borrowing EU names when and where we can, how about calling this a Turbulent-class rather than Oppressor? All of the stats still work perfectly (length is less than 1,600... everything else for the EU Turbulent is super vague), but it's got a little bit of EU familiarity sprinkled on. Plus, Turbulent and Resurgent have the same sort of ring to them.
