Better late than never I suppose!

Now that we're well on our way into 2014, let's look back to 2013 and give a bit of recognition to our writers and their characters

The rules:

1. You can only nominate one character for each category. Example being most Sith like you can only nominate one character. Not all the characters you feel fit the title.

2. Nominated characters must have at least one or two roleplays/threads that they've participated in which show their character.

I dont really want someones character who has been sitting in the background to get nominated when they've done nothing.

3. Characters nominated should be characters from this timeline. Not pre-reset.

4. For categories like Most Sith like, Jedi like I'm looking for more of a movie likeness. The way the Jedi acted in the movies not in EU.

If anyone else has any ideas for a sensible rule post it.

- Most Jedi-like: Zem Vymes - he's got that quiet, peaceful quality that Qui Gon had, and that old Ben Kenobi had. None of this flashy head chopping off business.

- Most active roleplaygroup/faction: Jedi - because no matter what else is going on, there always seems to be a NEW next to that forum.

- Most Innocent: Cleo Némain - it's easy to be innocent when you have no clue what's going on!

- Most dangerous: Loklorien s'Ilancy - not only is she deadly, her deception and betrayal is arguably what made the Alliance paranoid enough to cause this Cold War.

- Most Dangerous group:

- Scariest Character: Vega Van-Derveld - especially the Scorpius version. That guy never fails to wig me out.

- Most Brave/Heroic: Cirrsseeto Quez (née Rraurrssatta) - because he makes the hard choices, and suffers for them so others don't have to.

- Best bounty hunter:

- Lowlife of the universe:

- Biggest Reputation: Taataani Meorrrei - being infamous and feared because of your sexual appetites counts as reputation, right?

- Most Influential:

- Most Sith like: Salem Ave - for continuing to play one of the best nefarious and manipulative long games since records began.

- Most Imperial (Faction specific): Sanya Tagge - because the Empire is ruthless, meticulous, and looks damn good while doing it.

- Best Rebel (Faction Specific):

- Best Gangster (Faction Specific):

- Sexiest: Emelie Shadowstar - she's slutty, and she's Natalie Dormer. That's a winning combination.

Characters

-Most Jedi-like: Tough call between Serena Laran and Wei Wu Wei. I feel both of their characters bring a lot of depth and development and each show important aspects of being a Jedi. I'll say Wei Wu Wei because his journey has been so well planned and exhaustively executed.

-Most active roleplaygroup/faction: The Jedi, although the Alliance gave 'em a run for their money a while back

-Most Innocent: Tak s'Ilancy. She got dealt a really shitty hand and its not her fault at all.

-Most dangerous: Salem Ave. The Dark Lord of the Sith and the finger on at least one set of starkiller buttons. You'd figure folks would learn their lesson.

-Most Dangerous group: Lilaena De'Ville's dark jedi group. They're beholden to nobody else or any set agenda.

-Scariest Character Vega Van Derveld. He's creepy and icky and there's also like two threads of Lupine Centipede and icky.

-Most Brave/Heroic Abarai Loki. He's spent his entire life being honed to the razor's edge, and probably nobody else commits themselves to the cause quite like that.

-Best bounty hunter: Saarrreeaa Raurrssatta basically Forrest Gumped her way into capturing Sanis Prent. That's not a bad catch, rookie.

-Lowlife of the universe: Atton Kira hands down. I like spidery weasely fuckers, and reading his posts are like candy to me.

-Biggest Reputation: Lok s'Ilancy. She's been the highest of the high and the lowest of the low, and as someone already said, so much of where we are in the galaxy is because of her choices. Whether thats good or bad, you'd be stupid to not know who she was.

-Most Influential: I'll toot my own horn a little and say Taataani Meorrrei. Trillionaire war profiteer politician who likes to rub shoulders with the great and small alike. Maggie Thatcher meets LBJ.

-Most Sith like: Darth Callidus, for playing the long game a little bit better than the competition.

-Most Imperial (Faction specific) Baastian Cain. He even thinks he's the good guy!

-Best Rebel (Faction Specific) Admiral Reshmar. He's been holding the line for longer than most, and still has his stiff upper lip about it.

-Best Gangster (Faction Specific) Sasseeri Reeouurra. Hard to argue against the Boss Lady, and her intrigues are fun to read. She might need to ratchet up her game in the near future though..

-Sexiest Lyanie Quez. Corn-fed, drawly, and grease-stained? Yeah I'm a niche audience.

-Tear Award: Charlotte Tur'uenne (I probably misspelled the name but yeah) she's had a really bad run of luck and its hard to read how she's just tossed on the seas of misfortune.

Roleplay/Story Specific:

-Best Ongoing Storyline: The Vanguards. Yes I am partial, but I swear to god whenever we finish this thread I am going to buy the most expensive bottle of whiskey I can get and bathe in it while smoking three cigars at once.

-Best Fight/Battle Scene: The Valley of Humiliation. There have been a lot of good duels lately but none of them approach this one.

Characters

-Most Jedi-like: Serena Laran. She's a steady font of wisdom and grace, even when her inner thoughts and feelings are conflicted.

-Most active roleplaygroup/faction: I know everybody's saying it, but Ossus seems to be where most of the action is at lately.

-Most Innocent: Hwooroc. Gwaurr? Hnauuurraawaagh aaaawurrrgwarr. Hrufhrufhrufhruf!

-Most dangerous: The Deli Moff.D: Okay, seriously: Lilaena De'Ville in Quenched and Tempered."

-Most Dangerous group: The Circle. Now that they've insinuated themselves at multiple levels of the Alliance government...

-Scariest Character: Rossos Atrapes. Reading his training techniques for Palara... brrrrrr!

-Most Brave/Heroic: Wei Wu Wei. All throughout his epic quest, he's been contending with his own inner demons as much as with the Inquisitorius, and that takes courage.

-Best bounty hunter: Callomas Savoc. He exudes Space French professionalism.

-Lowlife of the universe: Serasai Onashi. Reading his posts makes me laugh, and then want to wash my hands.

-Biggest Reputation: Abarai Loki.If you're on Ossus, you know who he is.

-Most Influential: Dr. Taataari Saanjakeeto, principal researcher behind the Saanja torpedo.

-Most Sith like: Darth Acera. Not just as an intimidating foe in combat, but as a stark example of the total corruption of the Dark Side.

-Most Imperial (Faction specific): Palara Iscandar. More than any other active character I can think of, she represents the conscientious citizen of the Empire just trying to find her way in a cruel, alienating society.

-Best Rebel (Faction Specific): Vansen Tyree. It's been entertaining watching him transition from embattled navy captain to a military bureaucrat, kicking and scratching all the way.

-Best Gangster (Faction Specific): Adjerban the Interloper. Nobody interlopes like Adjerban!

-Sexiest: Rai'raa Anjumi. Beware the green ones...

-Tear Award: Loklorien s'Ilancy. "Oh boohoo, I turned to the Dark Side and killed a bunch of children!" More seriously, Palara Iscandar. Sold into slavery and exploitation from a young age, "rescued" by an abusive and totalitarian fascist regime, forced to do the Empire's knifework as a Light-sider, thrust into a quagmire of moral quandaries, and now she has to listen to Solomon talk her ears off in Past, Present, and Future!

-Best Ongoing Storyline: Thesaga of Wei Wu Wei and Palara Iscandar. It's a Kung Fu epic and Victor Hugo all in one!

-Best Fight/Battle Scene: Wei vs. Palara in "Tython: A Place of Origins." The duel by itself is fantastic, with distinct beats in the action and plenty of movement through an epic and beautifully described set piece. But it's also interwoven with thematically appropriate flashbacks into each character's origin. Superb work!

-Saddest/Happiest Scene:
Saddest:Zem's fall in "All That Remains: Trio."
Happiest: Wyl and Tak's reunion in "Whatever, I'm getting Cheese Fries."

-Comedic Scene: The transport flight to Ando in The Most Deadly of Weapons.

-Suspenseful Scene: Salem and Razielle vs. A'na-possessed Lilaena De'Ville in "The Abandonment." No matter who wins, things are looking terrible for LD! D:

-Best Dialogue: At the risk of a little self-congratulation, I love the cross-cultural negotiation in "Cultural Exchange," even breaking into linguistic gender constructions.

-Best Imagery: It's not RP, but Hiraeth. All of it. Failing that, Wyl Staedtler in the opening post of "Whatever, I'm Getting Cheese Fries." Liz has a narrative style like no other.

-Best Thread Title: "Whatever, I'm Getting Cheese Fries" or "A Girl Named James."

-Best Newcomer (character, not roleplayer): Captain Hekimi

-Best 'Didn't See That Coming' moment: Take your pick from The Most Deadly of Weapons... though surprise hotel porn probably takes the cake.
