Finished the game with Razhin. I didn't want to do everything in the game with my favorite Khajiit, but I haven't deleted the save file for any DLC or stuff I may be able to do with him. The ending is pretty straightforward compared with the rest of the game, and I'll not give away any more than that.
I started my second (technically my third) character right afterwards: A Breton woman who will be nominally Stormcloak, named Myrnâ. She'll be pretty much a female William Wallace, though I realize that for the analogy to really work it'd have to be a Nord, but there's no way for Ulfric to become the Bruce to Myrnâ's Wallace, so the storyline is that she's going to be a William Wallace for the Bretons, to anyone who may get the implications for that in Skyrim.
I wish I could take pictures on the console; I'd definitely use her for a character in Star Wars.
Haven't played this game in a while, so I decided to roll myself a dunmer mage and try to play without relying on the bow so much!
Ulfric was studying to be a Greybeard before the war with the Aldmeri Dominion broke out?!
Ulfric's voice actor is amazing, not so much for his ability, but his voice by itself. Verra manly-like.
The mix of one-handed weapon and light armour makes combat with Myrnâ intense and very tactical; Razhin only needs to walk in, see his enemies, and start swinging, Myrnâ has to be a bit smarter than that.
Aela gave us our Animal Extermination quest, and I went to the map marker without checking all the info; it turned out that the beasts were trolls.
It was Myrnâ, level 11 with a one-handed sword, a steel shield, and Whiterun Guards' Armour against six trolls. Those odds would have Razhin be a bit more than wary. Somehow, we only had to reload once, after an errant arrow caught the attention of two trolls at the same time. The shield bash attack is a wonderful tool: its quick use helps to interrupt power attacks, and it stuns them for a second, allowing us to go crazy on our foes for a precious two to three seconds.
Ranged kill-cams are awesome. Totally took me by surprise, too. I saved before one of my favorite sniping positions, two towers called Valtheim, I think, and reloaded a couple times because it was getting bugged; I couldn't see enemies I knew where there until I was almost on top of them.
The Silver Hand are great money makers.
So mounted combat is now available!
A fuckton of new content coming for this game in the 'Dawnguard' expansion!

It's out exclusively on Xbox at first on June 26th. Hopefully PC to follow soon after.
I may have to revisit skyrim this weekend!
I was completely blown away by how epic this is.
H.P Lovecraft Books in Skyrim
That's right - someone's made a mod that adds selected works of Lovecrafts into the game.
Steam Workshop: Build Your Own Home
Located near the abandoned prison at the crossroads between Whiterun, Windhelm and Riften, this ruined shack and lumber shed doesn't look like much to begin with, but you can gather materials and, using the nearby workbench, restore the ruins to a modest house. But from that point the expansion options are very impressive! A cellar, second floor, fireplace, tannery, farm, tower and more are available for construction.
So far I've got the 2nd floor, basement and fireplace built and am currently hunting for materials to continue. This is a lot of fun and one of the best house mods I've found.
Finished my first playthrough tonight, and at just under 120 hours played, I'm not quite sure I've even seen half of the content in this game. This is awesome, because when I make new characters, and I will, so much of my experience will feel fresh. My first character, Aldor, was a typical sword-and-shield-and-heavy-armour Nord warrior. Next, I plan to try a stealthy back-stabbing sneak thief. After that, I might tackle a caster. But none of this for a while, because as wonderful an experience it has been playing Skyrim, it simply sucks up way too much time. Stick a fork in me, I am done!
A new Skyrim Gamer Poop appears!
New DLC available: Hearthfire
This DLC allows you to purchase land and build a home using resources such as clay and quarried stone. You can even adopt children. This DLC would be amazing with the Hunter mod which adds a new skill tree with perks suited for hunting wildlife and archery.
Already built the main part of Heljarchen Hall
two new GAMER POOPS?!
So... there's a trailer out for the upcoming expansion / add-on / thingy.
