"Hey, I ain't going anywhere, anytime soon and you know that I'd do anything to defend Gaia," she said emphatically.

[Fiona Devlin]

:: Fiona smiled with the deepest warmth. It resonated in her voice when she spoke ::

"You have Eoen's eyes."

[Nara McKenna]

"Why am I not surprised that you'd figure that out too," she said evenly. "Brigid recognized my lineage when the Spiral said my name and when I shifted."

[Fiona Devlin]

"There's a meeting being held at the Fanum tomorrow. I'd like you to accompany me."

[Nara McKenna]

"Uh ..." Nara's voiced humbled at that idea. "That meeting is really only for the leaders. I'm not high enough Rank to go there. I did already give them an account of what happened tho."

[Fiona Devlin]

"You will stand by my side, Daughter of Cormac. I have need of you there."

:: There was a sense of pride in her tone, and she looked upon Nara as an equal ::

Well, when she put it like that, with such determination and pride, how could Nara not go?

Still, she wasn't too sure about the idea. All she could picture was a severe tongue lashing and possible physical scolding for putting her snout where it didn't belong. "I'm not entirely sure how you can be over the heads of my Elders ..."

[Fiona Devlin]

"I'm not. My relationship with the Elders is that of an advisor. I've done so for generations, and when needed, I've taken up my sword to fight for Gaia."

[Nara McKenna]

Nara tapped against the arms of the chair and finally shrugged. "Okay, but if they don't like it, it's your head."

[Fiona Devlin]

:: Fiona gave her a reassuring smile as she stood ::

"It's good to have you here. Let's go check on the others."

"Sure," she said, standing up, "But I'll apologize ahead of time if Kevin broke something."
