Tannis V'larr was a half-human, half-Sikarran starfighter pilot who served in the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire. Notably, he served as a member of the elite TIE fighter unit known as Shadow Squadron, first as Shadow Ten aboard the Victory-class Star Destroyer Termagant, then as the commander of the squadron aboard the Imperial-II-class Star Destroyer Admonisher. He earned his callsign, "Professor," in his academy days for his draconian flight style and for his penchant for instructing his colleagues or even his superiors. He was best-known for flying the formidable TIE Defender superiority starfighter.
