The Separatist Dreadnaught was a large variant of the Providence-class Carrier/Destroyer. One of the biggest ships of the Separatist fleet, the dreadnought's power is enough to hold a planetary blockade almost by itself.

Design
A roughly cylindrical warship, the cruiser's surface was dotted with heavy weapons emplacements capable of piercing through the shields and hulls of enemy vessels. Like the smaller Providence-class, the bridge of the cruiser was located on a platform resting atop the bow of the vessel. Towards the aft end of the craft was a towering fin-like spire that rose from the rest of the hull. Within this spire were the General's Quarters, a military command center with tactical displays, briefing table, and an enormous observation deck with a wide view of the surrounding space.
Six Large Long Range Heavy Turbolaser Cannons, as well as four Large Long Range Heavy Ion Cannons are installed on the prow just under the nose. Double Turbolaser and Heavy Turbolaser cannons run the rim of the ship, down the port and starboard sides from just aft of the bridge to amidships just fore of the hangars. Twenty Heavy Proton Torpedo Tubes are positioned on the dorsal hull with a heavily armored massive ordinance bay in the center of the ship, holding two hundred heavy torpedoes. 20 Ion Cannons are positioned near the front of the ship, staggered between the rim heavy and medium turbolasers.Twenty Four All Pourpose mass cannons capable of firing various warheads are positioned on the dorsal and ventral hull and on both sides flanking the hanger Forty Eight point defense lasers round out the weapons of the Separatist Dreadnaught.
History
Very few of these massive ships were built. Most were destroyed by Republic forces late in the Clone Wars. One such vessel, Invincible, commanded by Admiral Trench, was destroyed over the planet Christophsis. A few of these vessels still being constructed were hidden, by Quarren engineers, after the battle over Coruscant.
