Character Background
- Daughter of C-List villain, The Cluemaster. Hates her father's life of crime, took up being a vigilante to stop it.
- Only combat/vigilante experience she has is self taught. Her family has a fair bit of money affording her the standard gadgets, and so she set out as 'Spoiler', to 'spoil' her father's puzzles.
- Funny, witty and a bit silly, but woefully inexperienced. Seeking to become full-time vigilante.
- Will be giving up role as Spoiler to become Batgirl under Barbara Gordon's tutelage.
Raw Material
- Has a criminal father. Hates him.
- Short temper, can go too far/get too violent quite easily.
- Bit of a ditz/clutz, can do things very wrong at times, only moderately skilled in combat.
- Very good at being stealthy.
- Gets extremely jealous extremely easily.
- Will be transitioning to Batgirl under Barbara's guidance. Has a lot to learn. Has not yet been a Robin in this continuity.
Plot Ideas
- Steph meets any other member of the Bat Family, who are not impressed by the girl calling herself 'Batgirl'.
- Batgirl teams up with any other teen hero and they learn more about each other.
- She gets a total crush on somebody, another crime fighter? Tim Drake in the comics, but could be somebody else here.
- Because of her general terribleness, somebody learns her secret identity?
- Babs sends her undercover. Stephanie is terrible at it and just wants to fight. It's funny.
Existing Relationships
- Barbara Gordon - Her mentor as Oracle. Fashions the Batgirl identity and helps her maintain it. Guides her on most of her missions. The two have a friendly if slightly bickering relationship; Stephanie doesn't take things seriously enough and likes to simply fight, not do investigation.
- Tim Drake - When/if he exists, Stephanie has a crush on.
- Batman - Admires but is terrified of. Thinks he's a bit of a jerk for always being terrible to her about her lack of skill/telling her she shouldn't be crime fighting.
- The Cluemaster - Her Dad. Hates him, doesn't understand his life of crime, wants to stop it.
