Command and Control Functions
The Rapier is unique in that all of its functions are routed through droid controls before they are sent through the primary computer cores, of which there are two. This allows any damage to be instantly controlled via the dispatch of emergency repair teams, timely so by the droids. In the event of an ion incident, the droids can retake control of the ship by re routing power faster than their human counter part allow.

History
The Lancer Frigate, despite its upgrades, is growing older in design. This can act as a replacement.

Description of the Phalanx
The Phalanx cannon are little more than remodeled quad laser emplacements, power rerouted and redispersed to allow a much higher volume of fire. Accuracy remains at the control of the gunner, but the rate of fire increases by fifty percent.
